FLOMEC® Flow Meters are manufactured by Trimec Industries Pty Ltd trading as Great Plains Industries Australia which is an ISO9001:2008 quality certified company specializing in the design and manufacture of a range of oval gear, insertion, turbine and impeller flow meters, ancillary flow hardware and dedicated electronic flow instrumentation. FLOMEC® Flow Meters measure the flow of clean liquids and are produced in a wide variety of materials and configurations to suit most markets including the food, chemical, cosmetic, ink, pharmaceutical, paint, petroleum and additive industries. FLOMEC® oval gear meters are approved by the Australian National Measurement Institute (NMI) as an instrument for resale purposes (custody transfer). Most products have ATEX and IECEx approvals for explosion proof areas. The complimentary flow instruments include remote or integral mounted totalizers, flow rate totalizers and batch controllers, these instruments have both ATEX & IECex hazardous area approvals. The manufacturing facility is located close to Sydney's international airport. All design, assembly and calibration of the flow products is in house with sales, administration and marketing supporting both domestic & international markets. Trimec Industries Pty Ltd began manufacturing a range of positive displacement meters in 1987, setting a new standard for quality and reliability at competitive pricing. The flow meter range was subsequently expanded to include different technologies and now includes meters suitable for line sizes from 1/8" to 100" (4mm to 2500mm) and flow rates from 0.5 L/h to 49,000 L/s In July 2013, Trimec industries Pty Ltd was acquired by Great Plains Industries, Inc. (GPI) of Wichita Kansas. GPI is a leading U.S. manufacturer of inline turbine meters and fuel and chemical transfer pumps. The acquisition brings together complimentary metering technologies that offer an expanding range of flow measurement solutions. In April 2014, Trimec Industries Pty Ltd commenced trading as Great Plains Industries Australia and is committed to continuous development of its range of flow products to meet the ever changing needs of industry.
